Mobile De-watering
The mobile dewatering unit is a complete trailer mounted production system that can be delivered to a customer site at short notice and can be fully operational within hours.
The individual units have been selectively designed to process varying volumes of sludge from 1m3/hr to 70m3/hr.
For simplicity of installation and commissioning the complete system is housed in an articulated container with all equipment readily installed for a complete dewatering plant. It really is the ultimate “plug and play” system.
The mobile dewatering unit is commonly used to support existing on site dewatering plant during routine maintenance or in the event of a mechanical breakdown in the plant. After agreeing the location of the unit, provision of services and selecting the right scope of our supply, the units are promptly delivered to site by means of a tractor and simply connected up.
Sludge is fed into the unit by means of a progressive cavity feed pump via an in line macerator. The sludge then passes through a totalising flow meter, mixed with dilute polyelectrolyte and delivered to a two phase decanter centrifuge. The sludge which is now in a flocculated condition is separated into solid waste known as “cake” and centrate which is the liquid phase.
The fully enclosed system creates an operator friendly environment with minimum risk of contact with sludge cake or vapours. Chemkel are able to provide fully trained operators who are responsible for the safe and productive operation of the plant.
Because the system is fully automated, it is possible for the customers own personnel to be trained to operate the plant. Classroom and practical training courses can be conducted on-site with successful candidates being awarded a certificate of competence on completion.
